Selling Without the Ick: How to Show Up and Sell with Purpose
Mar 24, 2025
Let’s talk about something that so many entrepreneurs struggle with—selling. Specifically, how do you sell when you have a million things going on? When you’ve got multiple offers, launches, and services, and you don’t want to feel like you're constantly shouting "buy my thing!" into the void?
If you’ve ever felt like selling is icky, slimy, or just downright exhausting, this one’s for you. Because here’s the truth: selling is helping. And if you shift your mindset around sales, it can actually become something that feels natural, easy, and even—dare I say it—exciting.
Shift Your Mindset: Selling is Helping
One of the biggest blocks I see when it comes to selling is the mindset around it. If you’re thinking, Ugh, I have to sell so I can make money, you’re already setting yourself up to struggle. Instead, shift your perspective to: I have something that can help people, and I need to let them know it exists.
Think about it—your business exists to make people’s lives easier, better, or more interesting. If it didn’t, you wouldn’t have a business! So if you don’t talk about what you offer, the people who need your help won’t know where to find it. And that’s not serving anyone.

Everything Sells Everything
This is one of my favorite concepts, and it’s a game-changer when you have multiple offers. The idea is simple: no matter what you’re talking about, you’re always selling. You don’t have to promote every single thing you offer all at once—just showing up and talking about something creates interest and awareness.
For example, I recently hosted a spa day for local entrepreneurs. I wasn’t selling anything, just creating a space for connection. But because I shared about it, someone who attended ended up discovering my mastermind, joining a community call, and then signing up to work with me more closely.
That’s the power of showing up consistently and trusting that your audience will explore what’s right for them.
How to Sell Without Feeling Salesy
If you’re in a season where you have multiple things to promote, here’s how you can do it without feeling overwhelmed:
- Talk About the What, Not Just the How
- Your audience needs to understand the what—the core transformation you offer. The how (your different offers) is just the delivery method.
- Make Invitations, Not Pitches
- Instead of feeling like you have to “convince” someone to buy, focus on inviting them to explore an option that might help them.
- Trust That Your Audience is Smart
- You don’t have to lay out every single way to work with you in one post or email. People will find what’s right for them when they’re ready.
Your Action Step: Sell Today
I want you to go out and sell today. Not in a pushy way, not in a way that makes you cringe—but in a way that feels like offering help. Post about your thing. Share about it in your stories. Send that email.
You are here to help people. Your business makes an impact. And the only way to create that impact is to show up and sell. So go for it—and let me know what you’re selling today!
